Frequently Asked Questions

Is it really all solid wood?

Yes — every product in the Oak & Walnut range is solid timber, not veneer over board. The exact species and construction are listed on each product page. If you want to see the end grain before you commit, ask us on chat and we will photograph it for you.

Why does the colour look different in two photos?

Because it is real timber. Grain, figure and tone vary board to board, and oak, walnut and cherry all change colour over the first year. Two identical cabinets will never be truly identical. That is the point of the material.

How long does delivery take?

Metro orders in local stock generally leave within one to two business days on our own trucks. Regional and interstate goes via furniture freight partners. Out-of-stock pieces show a live arrival date from our warehouse system on the product page.

Can I pick up instead?

Yes, free, from Silverwater (Sydney), Oakleigh (Melbourne) or Archerfield (Brisbane). Wait for the collection email first — those are working warehouses, not showrooms.

Is assembly required?

Most cabinets arrive substantially assembled; some require legs or handles to be fitted. The product page states it for each piece.

What if something arrives damaged?

Photograph it and email info@oakwalnut.com.au the same day. We will organise a repair, a replacement part, or a full replacement at our cost. Freight damage is our problem, not yours.

How do I look after an oiled finish?

Wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth. Use coasters for hot and wet. Once or twice a year, or whenever the surface starts to look thirsty, re-oil it — we will send you the right oil free for the length of your warranty.

Do you deliver interstate?

Yes, Australia-wide. Rates are calculated by postcode at checkout.
